Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach Anti-Trafficking Project
The Anti-Trafficking project of Asian Pacific Island (API) Legal Outreach provides legal representation to victims of human trafficking to stabilize their immigration status, protect and advocate for them during the ensuing criminal investigation and prosecution, and work with sister agencies in the Asian Anti-Trafficking Collaborative (AATC) to provide them with a place to live, medical help, aid obtaining refugee benefits, counseling, as well as job training and placement for the future.
Break the Chain Campaign
Break The Chain Campaign seeks to minimize the effects of human trafficking, modern-day slavery and worker exploitation through comprehensive direct service, research, outreach, advocacy, training and technical assistance. The Campaign is committed to assisting migrant trafficked enslaved and exploited workers through the provision of case management services offering access to legal, social, mental health, and medical referrals and assistance and a multicultural center dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and educational environment for trafficked, enslaved and exploited workers.
Captive Daughters
Captive Daughters is the first anti-trafficking group established in California. It focuses solely on ending the sexual bondage of female adolescents and children. The organization was inspired by the founding director's stay in Nepal, where she learned firsthand about sex trafficking. Upon returning to the United States in 1995, she began researching trafficking and discovered a fragile network of groups struggling to educate the public on trafficking both here and abroad. In an effort to strengthen that movement, she and a committed group of individuals established Captive Daughters as a nonprofit organization in 1997.
Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking
The mission for the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST) is to assist persons who were trafficked for the purpose of forced labor and slavery-like practices, and to work toward ending all instances of such human rights violations. CAST's activities are interconnected by a client-centered approach that seeks to empower trafficked persons to fully realize their individual potential, while advancing the human rights of all trafficked persons.
Florida Freedom Partnership
The Florida Freedom Partnership (FFP) provides a rapid-response, comprehensive support system for trafficked persons while building the capacity of the South Florida community to better understand and respond to the needs of trafficked persons. The FFP mission is to assist individuals trafficked for the purpose of modern-day slavery in rebuilding their lives, and to engage all sectors of the community to bring an end to this human rights violation.
Florida State University Center for the Advancement of Human Rights Human Trafficking Initiative
In a joint venture with the Florida Department of Children and Families, the Center for the Advancement of Human Rights is helping implement new federal legislation that affords rights and benefits to victims of sex trafficking, involuntary domestic servitude, and forced labor.
Heartland Alliance for Human Needs and Human Rights
Heartland Alliance’s mission is to advance the human rights and to respond to the human needs of endangered populations – particularly the poor, the isolated, and the displaced – through the provision of comprehensive and respectful services and the promotion of permanent solutions leading to a more just global society.
International Institute of Boston
The International Institute of Boston helps immigrants and refugees successfully integrate into New England. Fundamental to all of the Institute's programs is the promotion of self-sufficiency – giving clients the tools to help themselves become active participants in the social, political and economic richness of American life. The Institute provides newcomers with direct and practical assistance in the form of English & literacy courses, Refugee Resettlement services, Citizenship Education, Economic Development, Employment Training & Placement, Legal Aid and Social Services (e.g. crisis intervention, mental health counseling, human trafficking prevention).
Mosaic Family Services, Inc.
The Services for Victims of Trafficking Program at Mosaic Family Services seeks to educate immigrants and mainstream communities about issues relating to trafficking and immigrant needs; and to provide culturally and linguistically competent services to victims of abuse, so that victims may recover quickly from a criminal act, aid in the criminal justice process, and increase economic self-sufficiency.
